Electronic Voice Phenomenon (EVP) seem to occur on a frequent basis. It is now standard practice to leave audio recording devices running all through an investigation and often upon playback voices have been heard where none should have been. Some of these voices are no doubt the result of radio interference but  I have heard some that defy understanding as all possible sources of contamination by radio and trickery seem to have been eliminated. Any EVP we find on our investigations will be posted here.

This noise is not a true EVP. It was recorded on an investigation at a private house in Moretonhampstead in Devon with the Haunted Devon Paranormal Investigation Team. A similar EVP was captured while a television production company were filming with Haunted Devon at the same house for the TV programme ‘Believe It Or Not’ which was shown in late August 2006 on TSW. The camcorder was left continuously running while we did a vigil in one of the rooms. The adjoining room was manned by another team member. None of  us dropped anything and a search of both rooms after the event could not find anything to explain the noise. There were no fallen objects on the floor. The people in both rooms thought the noise had come from the room that they were not in. Click on the button below to hear the noise.

EVP And Other Sounds.

This sound was picked up on camcorder at Kitty Jay’s Grave on the 15th June 2008. The noise was heard by myself at the time so it cannot be put down to a fault in the camcorder or the digital tape. It sounds  manmade. It was also picked up on another digital recorder. It was not loud and seemed to be very local to us. It is not the first time that this noise has been heard as Jenny (our Seer) and Chris (Hidden Realms) heard a very similar noise when stood at the bridleway gate behind the grave on our joint investigation a few weeks previously which they excitedly described on that evening as a ‘gobbling’ noise. This noise was also captured while we stood at the bridleway gate. We cannot explain it and there is nothing in the vicinity that could make an audible sound like this. If anyone has any thoughts as to its nature we would be pleased to hear from you. Click on the button below to hear it.

Top Of Page.

Another strange noise picked up at Kitty Jay’s grave. This was picked up on my camcorder on the 28th June 2008. In the clip you will hear Jenny asking a spirit to make its presence known by making a noise in response to one that she makes. She then stamps her foot twice. Immediately two quiet knocks or bumps are heard as if in response to her. Listen closely and you will hear them. We never noticed them at the time. We were stood at the bridleway gate behind the grave and there were just the two of us there at this point. I never moved and we have no idea what caused the two quiet knocks that were picked up. This noise was caught on our investigation to a private house in Exeter, Devon. Louise, one of the occupants of the top floor of the house which is now converted into a flat, invited us to investigate the strange noises such as footsteps walking around at night that she had experienced. All people in the flat were accounted for and we have no explanation for the cause of the scraping noise that is heard in the clip. Click on the button below to hear it.
